The U'ggggn - The Babble Monsters have shown up on any number of worlds where they have reduced the general population to gibbering hordes of  zombie like creatures. The monster's dna has been traced back to worlds where the Great Race of  Yith warred with the Eldar Things in eons past.
It is believed that these monsters don't even eat in the conventional sense but instead feed on thoughts & emotions of those around them. Their bodies are great masses of muscle, chitin, & brain matter. Those who approach the nests of these creatures  hear & feel a strange unease around 250 yard radius that these monsters create.
The baleful central eye of these monsters watches & begins the quick process of procreation which takes a mere 4 days for the non sexual birth process to begin. Those who approach are attacked by a series of  three fingered claws on the end of primitive tentacle limbs. They are then ripped part.
The true problem of these monsters are the mind warping powers of their fields that surround them. These fields confuse or mix the language centers of most human & non human brains. On a roll of  a % die there is a 20 percent chance that a party of 1d4 people will be unable to understand each other unless a save vs is rolled. The U'ggggn consumes the confused thoughts & begins to broadcast a low level telepathic scrambling signal to those around it making anyone more jumpy & aggressive.
It waits for the attackers to finish one another off & moves in where the brains of the humanoids are psionically stripped of all memories. The creature projects all of these thoughts back to a central monster who becomes the leader of the planetary wide web of these creatures.
Eventually the planet will be covered in a tight web of these monsters & they will spout spores which will drift back into space along the solar winds to the next world.  The process repeats its self.  That is unless the monsters encounter a shaggoth life form. Shaggoths attack the U'ggggn in a blind  rage & will not stop until there is nothing of the monsters left.
Should any creature of the Eldar Things be encountered the monster will form a central psionic brain & attack the  creature psionically with a blast that will do 1d8 points of damage with a line of sight range. The creature will also develop a hatred for all humanoid life that it encounters & attack immediately. This lends credit to the theory that these monsters are nothing more then another weapon of the Great Race & have  no place in the modern world.

These monsters are often found on many post apocalypse worlds where they find the pickings very easy for themselves. They often play elaborate hide & seek games among the ruins.
Fire & super science powers are tailor made to get rid of these thought  parasite. The flesh of these monsters is often used by scientists to create a different medicines that prevent an out breaks of the Conbus 8 psionic fever.
Many lesser races harvest & use these creatures as living weapons for the killing of their enemies. They will launch a thermal pod that will contain one or more of these monsters only to have to deal with them later.

  1. Thanks Trey! I was very unsure where this was going to go. I've got a few more things up my sleeve as well. Stay tuned!
