Tomb Of The Cylons - Outline Thoughts

Tomb Of The Cylons  Notes

The time of Galactica is long over with & the Cylons are a name that is told to children to scare them into behaving. The name echoes throughout eternity.

Yet something stirs,  an ancient  memory banks trips in the dark vaults of a planet. A lone exploration vessel from the Unite Planets comes across an ancient world light years away from any of the ancient battle grounds! A lone red eye shifts in the darkness & evil is reborn!

History Of the Cylons

The Cylons of the 1978/1980 series are not the mechanical foils seen throughout the series, but an advanced reptilian race who created the robots (who were referred to as Cylons within the show) to serve them, maintain their vast empire and to man their military forces in the face of a sudden population drop that eventually led to the Cylons' extinction — seemingly overnight. This fact is briefly mentioned in the 1978 movie-length premiere of the series (near the end of episode 2 in syndication) when Apollo relates the Cylons' origin to Boxey. In the episode "War of the Gods", during Count Iblis's private discourse with Count Baltar, Baltar mentions that he recognizes Iblis's voice, referring to Patrick Macnee's voicing of the Imperious Leader in the opening episode/theatrical movie (Macnee also played Iblis), with Iblis countering that if that was true it must have been "transcribed" over a thousand yahren (years) ago and programmed into the mechanical body of the Imperious Leader.

There's even more information on the original race right  Here Cylon_(1978)

The Marvel comics contained alternative information as well about the series just like the Old Marvel Star Wars comics
However they didn't have as much appeal as the Star Wars comics & didn't last as long.

The paperback of the series also contained a graphic novel based on the original movie/pilot.

The Plot & Set Up

A survey ship from the United Planets has gone into orbit around an E type planet with ancient unidentified ruins

Actually an ancient Cylon weapons storage depot more then 2000 years old whose robotic inhabitants have been maintained by the the Cylon nano robotic units. They have been repairing, upgrading, evolving, & maintaining their charges until now!
The mecha  vaults stir & something newer & far more evil then we've seen so far exits the ancient hanger doors. Something like a cross between a metallic scorpion & an malevolent insect!

Elsewhere an entity aboard a silvery golden space craft watches the events with Reptilian disinterest . His ancient horns scrap against his scales & he casually flips a switch with his mind. There will be death & destruction as the life form called man struggles against his superiors once again!

Gaming Systems

Stars Without Numbers, Terminal Space, Labyrinth Lord, Mutant Future,Carcosa  & just starting to get things together.
